Panellist at Dialogue Session – Young Lawyers Committee

Partner, Mato Kotwani was invited to be a panellist at a dialogue session entitled “Practical Tips for Practice: A Dialogue with Fresh Grads and Young Lawyers” hosted by The Young Lawyers Committee of the The Law Society of Singapore.

The aim of the Dialogue was to allow younger members of the Bar, as well as those who are looking to be admitted to the Bar in future, to engage in a practical conversation on various topics surrounding legal practice. These topics included the appropriate demeanour and behaviour to adopt in Court, corresponding with clients and opposing counsel, general drafting skills, and how young lawyers can distinguish themselves in an increasingly challenging environment.

The panel discussion was followed by candid discussions with the panel speakers and practising lawyers who were able to share their personal experiences and offer advice on Court decorum and etiquette, managing your clients and opposing counsel through correspondence and more importantly, how to navigate legal practice.
